Introduction

Knowledge of pediatrics is essential for all doctors and is a major part of the undergraduate medical syllabus.

The Department of Pediatrics is responsible for the education of undergraduate medical students through a comprehensive clinical and academic course.

Members of the department also contribute to postgraduate training and evaluation. Furthermore, the staff of the department is responsible for community services by providing state-of-the-art diagnostic and consultation services to appropriate institutions/hospitals all over Kuwait.

The Department also plays a leading role towards developing guidelines for optimal management of different pediatric disorders.

In addition, research is highly valued in our department. Our staff members actively contribute to the research productivity of the Faculty of Medicine.
