INTRODUCTION

The Faculty of Medicine was established in 1973, and has since developed into an internationally recognized medical school, serving Kuwait and the Gulf region.

The department offers a seven year course in medicine and is responsible for overseeing and developing the students' clinical, social and intellectual skills so that at the completion of this program they are competent, self-sufficient doctors.

The Faculty encompasses several departments, including Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine & Behavioral Science, Medicine, Microbiology, Nuclear Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Physiology, Primary Care, Psychiatry, Radiology and Surgery. The faculty accepts an average of 120 students per year.

The total number of students enrolled in our program is approximately 800.
